Amazing things are happening in my garden despite the cold overnight temperatures. It is so inspiring and my vegetable garden is next! We have bought some new raised garden beds which just need joining together and filling with soil. I say 'just' as really that is all that needs doing. And then I will plant and watch it all unfold over the coming weeks.
Two of my nieces are coming to stay in a week and a half for 3 and1/2 weeks! Very exciting, and I am thinking of crafty ideas for us to do while they are here. They will help me in the vegetable garden for sure and I am thinking we will need things to do each day. They will have school work too, but the fun stuff will be the creating! They are performing in a State Dance competition and need to stay with me so they can get to rehearsals and the actual performance.

Phoebe and I made a chocolate cake last night-yummm. Getting into cooking again as the girls' taste buds seem to be expanding again. It is soo very exciting as well when they eat what is cooked! I love cooking and it is demoralising when meal after meal is rejected...

Wow!

I can't believe how much time has passed since I started this blog. A few things have changed and I am glad to say I finally have a new sewing machine! My family bought me one for my birthday and it's a beauty! I have to try out the walking foot and the rest... Sooo exciting.
Am thinking about sewing madly for a Christmas Market Stall and am almost there. Just deciding what to make and what will sell and what I won't get bored making many multiples of! I received an apron which was made in 1948 by my great-grandmother for her niece who was recently married and leaving England for the USA. Cousin Mary passed this apron on to my Mum, who gave it to me! I feel so fortunate to have it and am planning to make a pattern from it and sew some new ones. This might be an idea for a Christmas Market?!? Otherwise, will rely on bags and maybe some children's headbands. Decisions, decisions.
